The DATASTORE command defines a source or target datastore of almost any type:

Relational database tables

IMS databases

Sequential files

VSAM files

IBM MQ queues

Kafka Topics

The DATASTORE command is used in conjunction with the DESCRIPTION command (see below) that defines each record layout in the datastore. The DATASTORE command must appear after the corresponding DESCRIPTION command(s).

See Commands: DATASTORE for a detailed description, its Syntax, Parameters and Examples.
