There are four (4) mapping methods that can be used to populate target fields. These are:

•Assigning a constant to a target field using the INITIALIZE command.

•Simple mapping of source to target fields where the source and target field names are the same.

•Straight mapping of a source field to a target field.

•Mapping target fields through Functions.

Each of these mapping methods is described in more detail in the following sections.
