The MONTH function returns the number of a month from a specific date.

Parameter Descriptions
date - This parameter specifies a valid date in YYYYMMDD format. The date can be a field from a source datastore, a variable, a constant or the result of another Function
Example
Determine the number of the month from the date of October 30th, 2000 and map the result to target field MONTH_NUMBER.
MONTH_NUMBER = MONTH (20001031)
Returns the value of 10 and maps the result to the target field.
