Identify Source and Target System and Datastores |

Configuration of the Capture Agents, Engines and their Controller Daemon's require identification of the system and type of datastore that will be the source of and target for the captured data. Once this information is available, requests for ports, accounts and the necessary file and database permissions for the Engines that will run on each system should be submitted to the responsible organizational units.
Capture of Oracle Version 11, 12 and 19 are supported on Oracle RAC systems. The --disable-continuous-mining option must be specified in the capture configuration .cab file for Oracle 11 or 12 RAC systems because the Oracle LogMiner CONTINUOUS_MINE option is not supported. The capture will automatically default to --disable-continuous-mining for Oracle version 19 on both RAC and non-RAC systems.
