The SQDmon utility communicates with sqdaemons on both local and remote platforms to the assess the status of the agents managed by the sqdaemon. Some functions are restricted to local operation as well as the the sqdaemon's host platform:

Access to the sqdaemon by SQDmon is controlled by a public/private key authentication scheme described in detail in the Secure Communications Guide and by the sqdaemon's Access Control Configuration (acl.cfg) file.
