Browsing the Spatial Repository
Spectrum Spatial Analyst allows you to upload data files from your computer and save
it to Spectrum Spatial repository. While uploading the data to the repository, you need to
click to browse the Spatial Spectrum repository and specify the path of
the repository folder on the Spatial Spectrum server. The window presents you a list of
directories or database schemas.
If you choose SQL-based connection, click
to select a schema. A primary key column will be generated and added to the table.
If you choose file-based connection, click
to select File system path.
You can specify the target location on the Spectrum Spatial repository.
For SQL-based connection, the Schemas are presented in the following ways:
Icons | View |
---|---|
![]() |
List view |
![]() |
Tree view |
The file-based connection is presented only in the Tree view. You can click
or
to switch the table view.
By default, Spectrum Spatial Analyst displays the name of first folder in the list on which the user has the Write access.
When you create a connection, you provide basic information required for the connection such as user name and password. The connection choice will determine whether that table is created as a TAB file or a SQL table in Spectrum Spatial.
Browsing the Spatial Repository As a Sub-admin
While browsing the Spatial repository, sub-admin users will see only those folders on which Write permission is granted.
The Select button is enabled only when you choose a writable folder. If you select a folder on which you do not have the Write permission, the following message displays.
You only have read access to the chosen folder.
