A different method of VSAM capture utilizing the CICS XFCREQC File Control Exit was required for CICS version 5.1 and older. IBM ended support for CICS 5.1 in July of 2019 and Precisely no longer supports that capture agent.
Note, IAM a popular transparent third party alternative to VSAM is also supported by the VSAM Log Capture.
