Enterprise Data Integration can be complex given the variety of platforms and databases commonly used by many organizations. Given that Connect CDC SQData supports change data capture on virtually all platforms and the transport and application of the captured data on virtually any other platform and database; the installation and configuration can appear to be complex.
A series of Quickstart Guides provide a tutorial style walk through of some common configuration scenarios including Capture and Replication. The Quickstart approach is intended to be a step by step guide to the installation, configuration, testing and operation of Connect CDC SQData Captures on zOS and other platforms as well as the Apply and Replicator Engine components that write to various target datastores on z/OS, UNIX (Linux and AIX) and Windows. Each Quickstart includes a "Before You Get Started" section that include prerequisites to specific component configuration and execution that are explained in detail in the various component Reference documents.
