This checklist covers the tasks required to prepare the operating environment and configure the VSAM Log Capture. Before beginning these tasks however, the base product must be installed. Refer to the Connect CDC SQData zOS Installation Guide for instructions and prerequisites.
Note, If you also require capture of Batch VSAM updates, there is an additional prerequisite. IBM's CICS VSAM Recovery (CICS VR) Version 5.1 or later is required to replicate changes made by batch jobs outside of CICS Transaction Server. See Configure Batch VSAM for Capture in the detail VSAM Log Capture reference and return to this Quickstart to complete your configuration using the recommended ISPF panel interface.
